PERFIL SEMIÓTICO DE LA TOPONIMIA COLOMBIANA
Resumo
RESUMEN: Este artículo se enfoca en las connotaciones nacionales y culturales de los topónimos colombianos. El origen, la motivación, la estructura morfológica y semántica de los topónimos colombianos se analizan desde el punto de vista semiótico, lo que permite evaluar su papel en la visión del mundo de los colombianos y su creatividad lingüística.

SEMOTIC PROFILE OF COLOMBIAN TOPONYMY
ABSTRACT: This article focuses on the national, cultural and historical connotations of Colombian place names. The origin, motivation, morphologic and semantic structure of Colombia place names are analyzed from the semiotic point of view and examined through their role in the linguistic world view of Colombian people and their verbal creativity.
