VIDAS EM TRÂNSITO: UMA LEITURA DE A CHAVE DE CASA, DE TATIANA SALEM LEVY, E OS HUNGARESES, DE SUZANA MONTORO
Resumo
Na literatura contemporânea, o tema da migração tem sido recorrente: primeiramente, como efeito do impacto da teoria pós-colonial; posteriormente, no rastro dos estudos sobre a identidade, focalizando, em especial, a questão do conflito que o imigrante sofre em busca da definição de sua identidade cultural. O ato de migrar, a par das circunstâncias que o geram, traz consigo conflitos que tanto podem levar ao arrefecimento dos traços de afinidades do sujeito com o território de origem, à total perda de suas raízes, como também ao reestabelecimento da identidade por meio da conciliação entre a cultura do país que ora habita e aquela de seu país natal. A proposta deste trabalho é analisar a representação do deslocamento, suas consequências, e o modo como o tema enseja trânsitos na arquitetura textual de duas obras em particular: o festejado romance de Tatiana Salém Levy A chave de casa e Os hungareses, de Suzana Montoro, vencedor do Prêmio São Paulo de Literatura de 2012, na categoria “Romance de estreia”.

LIVES IN TRANSIT: A READING OF A CHAVE DE CASA, BY TATIANA SALEM LEVY, AND OS HUNGARESES, BY SUZANA MONTORO
ABSTRACT: In contemporary literature, the theme of migration has been recurring: first, the effect of the impact of post-colonial theory; later, in the wake of studies on the identity, focusing, in particular, the issue of conflict that the immigrant suffers in search of a definition of their cultural identity. The act of migrating, along with the circumstances that generate it, brings conflicts that can either lead to cooling of the traits of the individual affinities with the territory of origin, the total loss of roots, as well as the reestablishment of identity through reconciliation between the culture of the country of adoption and that of the native country. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the representation of displacement, its consequences, and how the issue entails transits in the textual architecture of two works in particular: A chave de casa, a celebrated novel by Tatiana Salem Levy, and Os hungareses, by Suzana Montoro, São Paulo Prize winner for Literature in 2012, in the category "Romance debut".
